Manuel Bellido started to build guitars in 1957 taught by master Eduardo Ferrer. Later Manuel trained his brother Jose Lopez Bellido, and within time trained almost an entire school of guitar makers, including his sons Jesus and Mauricio.
The Bellido family are quintessential representatives of the Granada school of guitar making. Jesus and Mauricio work in their father workshop, each one building their guitars individually, controlling the entire process from beginning to end, from the careful selection of woods to the final assembly.
